ceci n'est pas un jardin

The secret is -- there is no garden.
Secret garden is a Baroque tradition – a
place for quite contemplation, an intrigue, a
love affair. This was also a place for secretly
watching others contemplate, intrigue and
court.
The "ceci n'est pas un jardin" pavilions
a place where we can survey "Nature" in
secret: the life of a tree, a love affair of a
bird, a downfall of a butterfly while they
remain in the "wild". This is place contorted
to contemplate life – on its many scales and
in its many iterations. As such this is NOT a
garden – it's a viewing device, a keyhole into
the secrets of an artificial eco-system devoid
of human presence and left to its own secret
devices. What will become of the non-garden
in the course of its life we do not know; but we
will enjoy the show.
