| In January 2010 A+M were invited to produce local versions of their PLANCH™ and Grand Resource project for the Hong Kong / Shenzhen Biennale (follow links for the original project descriptions). Having observed that most common building materials available in the US are fabricated in China, A+M chose not to re-import necessary materials, but opted to work with locally available resources. As a result the original projects had to modified on site to correct for the original assumptions and accommodate local availability of resources and tools. Working with CNC machine and bamboo ladders, shopping for hardware in local shops, A+M produced four versions of its PLANCH™ (presented here) and two towers of the Grand Resource.
